Glossary
Words we mean precisely.
The vocabulary of the lab, defined the way we use it. No jargon as decoration.
- Developmental AI
- AI built by growing a mind through stages — cells, circuits, experience — instead of only training weights in one run. The approach behind Inwit-1.
- Digital genome
- The complete starting code of a developmental mind: structure, plasticity rules, and growth order. Not a pile of weights.
- Transformer model
- The dominant AI architecture today. It predicts the next token from frozen weights and stops learning when training ends.
- Retraining run
- The expensive from-scratch retrain a frozen model needs in order to improve. Developmental minds grow instead.
- Open beta
- A live testing phase open to the public. Inwit-1 is in open beta: free during beta, with no SLA yet and limits stated plainly.
- Agent harness
- Software that lets an AI agent do real work: read a repo, plan, edit files, run commands, and report back as a diff. WanoryCode is ours.
